David Kennard has a 30-year career in commercial real estate finance. He has extensive experience originating fixed-rate debt on stabilized assets and floating-rate debt on non-stabilized assets for all major asset classes, including multifamily, office, retail, hospitality, and self-storage facilities.
Before co-founding Catalyst Capital Partners, Mr. Kennard spent 20 years with securitized lending platforms, including Greenwich Capital Partners and LoanCore Capital, a privately held commercial real estate firm focused on the extension of credit on all commercial real estate asset classes. Since the firm’s inception in 2008, LoanCore has funded more than $13 billion of commercial real estate debt comprised of over 550 transactions nationwide. Mr. Kennard was a Managing Director and head of the Irvine, California office responsible for staffing and training, origination and closing senior fixed-rate, mezzanine, and floating-rate debt on stabilized and transitional properties throughout the United States. Over his career, Mr. Kennard has been directly responsible for originating more than $3 Billion of structured real estate debt.
Mr. Kennard graduated from Westmont College with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business. He is a licensed real estate broker in California and an active community member, serving as a youth basketball coach and little league administrator.
